THE RAVENSHOE HOTEL STORY

Built in 1927 by the current owner's Great Grandparents, John and Silvinia Edwards, the Ravenshoe Hotel has been through a few name changes but it has always remained an iconic part of Ravenshoe's local history.

If the walls of the Hotel could talk, they would tell stories of weddings, celebrations, important meetings, intrigue, gossip, parties and more!

A haven for weary travellers, a local culinary delight, and a place to meet local characters, The Ravenshoe Hotel is a must-visit for anyone coming to Ravenshoe.

WENDY STANFORD

Wendy purchased The Ravenshoe Hotel with her partner, Wayne Edwards in 2013.  She was excited to be bringing the hotel back into the family after it was sold in the 1940s.

It was Wendy's idea to rename the Hotel back to The Ravenshoe Hotel as she felt it was an iconic part of Ravenshoe's history and it stands like a beacon at the highest part of the street welcoming people to Ravenshoe!

Her focus with the Ravenshoe Hotel is provide a comfortable hotel stay, delicious meals and frosty drinks to Ravenshoe visitors and locals alike.
